This blog was created for no real purpose. I will post random musings on a variety of international topics, domestic politics, and cycling. I may even throw in the occasional family post.

bike-run
Nice relaxing bike ride today, followed by a light 20 minute run, though my heart rate monitor strap is dying. Either that or I have no heart rate. Some do say I am heartless, so that is a possibility.
Running should be done in the following instances: 1. There is a fire and you need to move away from the area rapidly. 2. There has been flatulence and you need to move away from the area rapidly. 3. If you're a runner. 4. Into the shop to pick up your new bike. 5. To your bike in order to ride it. 6. After the individual who just stole your bike. 7. Through the door as the first winter bike swap meet begins. 8. Away from attacking dogs when not on your bike. 9. After a child - whenever it makes them laugh/giggle. 10. When forced to at gun point.
Assuming most of these do not apply we'll have to assume your are working on #3. I just cried a little tear...it's in the shape of a bicycle....make the tears stop.
I am an Assistant Professor in International Relations (Political Science) with a focus on the UN and conflict.
I also ride my bike more than the average person, but not as much as the average crazy roadie. I commute by bike 3-5 times a week, & get in a few other rides here in there.
Finally, I have two sons & a lovely wife. One son is almost three and the other is four.
